This weekend I was able to take out my new steel targets from Action Targets. I went with the EVIL ROY heavy duty PT made of AR550 armored steel which is rated for all handgun calibers and even center fire rifle (at 100 yards +). The target has a 12″ head that sits on a collapsible steel tripod, and is slightly angled down to control ricochet directly into the ground in front of the target. The tripod has a built in carry handle that makes these targets super easy to setup.

My initial reaction: WOW! These things have completely changed my shooting experience! No more carrying lumber, tools, hardware, staple guns, etc into the woods anymore! These targets are extremely versatile, easy to setup and FUN! Every shot gives you instant feedback and gratification. No need to check paper after each magazine, you can see and hear your shot placement immediately when hitting the steel. I was shooting 9MM, 22MAG rifle, and .223 55 grain rifle rounds, and these targets took it all! Hearing that “PING!” from 110 yards is a beautiful sound!

Can’t wait to get out there and shoot these things again!
